Hull :STR Europe develops innovative generations of hulls for a reduction of the motion resistance and better propulsion. STR Europe’s hulls offer a reduced drag, a optimizes propulsion and a minimized required power. Propulsion :The propulsion designed by STR Europe can be electric (exclusive) or hybrid thermal-electric by coupling with renewable energy sources (last generation fuel cells, photovoltaic energy, wind energy).

Innovation in naval architecture
Through a cooperative agreement with the Stevens Institute of Technology, Center for Maritime Systems, Davidson Laboratory (New Jersey, USA), STR Europe has the capability to to test hulls in a large towing tanks. The recent R&D efforts have recently focus on the design of a trimaran hull offering a low resistance and able to integrate hybrid and electric propulsions.
